AlSayad Studio is a local-first visual electronics environment. Make your first program. Understand the code. See it work on a board.

A workspace for your next electronics idea.

The idea

Learning electronics should leave room for curiosity. AlSayad Studio brings blocks, inspectable ESP-IDF C and local build tools into one desktop workspace, so a beginner can connect what a program says with what a board does.

The aim is a useful free local application that does not require an AlSayad account. After toolchain provisioning, the workflow is designed to work offline. Optional paid and education offerings are still product decisions, not current offers.

What already exists

  • A working desktop foundation with local projects, recovery, Guided/Professional interfaces and light/dark themes.
  • Visual programming that generates ESP-IDF C, with compiled firmware fixtures.
  • A Windows reference ESP32-DevKitC build/upload/serial workflow verified on real hardware.
  • Documented board profiles and pin tools, three bundled lessons, and an screen designer with labels, buttons, switches, sliders, images and built-in/external display choices, at different levels of validation.
  • Development foundations for signed lesson/example packages, optional services and organization features.

No public beta, production marketplace, real checkout or classroom service is live. Additional-board and display bench acceptance remain open.

What support could help make possible

The proposed focus of a future campaign is to make the first workflow dependable beyond the developer’s desk:

  • More hardware bench tests and repeatable validation.
  • Clean installation, offline setup and failure recovery.
  • Windows signing and Apple Silicon release verification/notarization.
  • Clear beginner guides, tester feedback and classroom pilots.

These are proposed priorities. Funding amounts, allocation percentages, reward tiers, license terms and delivery estimates have not been announced.

Why AlSayad

AlSayad is an independent project rooted in electronics, embedded software and hands-on learning. Its mission is to build something, understand how it works, and make that process useful to someone else. Studio brings that approach into a software tool.

Challenges, openly stated

Toolchain installation, USB drivers, hardware variants, offline provisioning, Mac behavior and release signing need further testing. Display firmware compilation is not the same as a working display demonstration. An independent development effort also has limited capacity, and plans may change with evidence and resources.

AI, wider robotics support, circuit/PCB/simulation/CAD integrations and a reviewed third-party marketplace are future exploration. They are not included as current capabilities or delivery promises.

What you can do now

Explore the development evidence, share this project with another maker or educator, and return for an eventual campaign announcement. No pledges or payments are accepted on this site, and no Kickstarter campaign is live.
